Read moreExciting news for those looking to immigrate to Newfoundland and Labrador! On July 10, the province's Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) issued more than 300 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for immigration. This is a fantastic opportunity for eligible foreign nationals to join this vibrant community.
If you have a job or job offer in Newfoundland and Labrador, you might just be in luck! Most of the ITAs issued were through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), along with some through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
Here’s a quick breakdown: a total of 359 invitations were sent out, with 300 going to NLPNP applicants and 59 for AIP candidates. To qualify, you'll need to have a job or a valid job offer, and if necessary, an employer invitation code. Don’t worry if you already have work authorization in Canada—you won't need that code for NLPNP.
Not sure what jobs are in demand? The OIM has listed several key sectors, including health care, ICT (Information and Communications Technology), and aquaculture, where skilled workers are urgently needed. If you think your skills match the province's needs, check your eligibility and find your National Occupation Classification (NOC) code with help from the OIM.
For those who didn't declare employment in their Expression of Interest (EOI) or lack the necessary invitation code, unfortunately, this draw isn’t for them. But keep your chin up—there are plenty of resources available on the OIM's dedicated webpage to help you find your best path!
Don’t miss this chance to make Newfoundland and Labrador your new home. Start your immigration journey today!
