Recently, a group was charged with a total of 34 offenses under Alberta’s Wildlife Act, plus 9 additional charges related to the Criminal Code of Canada. These offenses involved an American fugitive and residents from Alberta who were linked to illegal wildlife activities.
The undercover investigation started when authorities received tips about poaching activities, and sadly, the suspects were actively killing eagles and selling wildlife products. Thanks to the diligent work of Fish and Wildlife officers, this operation is one step closer to bringing justice.
