The International Mobility Program Plus (IMP+) is designed for those of you who have a Certificat de sélection du Québec (Québec Selection Certificate) but are still waiting for permanent residency. With this program, 7,000 skilled workers can now secure an open work permit and start working while they wait. In fact, this number could go up to 14,000 permits in 2022 due to previous agreements!
Additionally, the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) is introducing changes that allow more jobs to be filled by foreign workers. This means 58 new Level C occupations have been added to the eligible list!
But wait, there’s more! Employers hiring temporary foreign workers need to offer better protections and cover their return travel costs, plus secure proper housing and health insurance for their workers. It’s a win-win!
