The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will soon accept the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Essentials as a valid test to show your English proficiency.
Currently, the TOEFL Essentials is not yet accepted, but the good news is that it will be soon. The IRCC will announce the details on their official website when the time comes.
This change is super important for those applying under permanent economic immigration programs like Express Entry, the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and more. It’s a big boost for many who are looking to start their journey in Canada!
The TOEFL Essentials measures your listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills with tasks that are based on real-life situations. The entire test lasts around 1.5 hours and gives you instant results for some parts!
