Celebrating Women’s History Month in Alberta

October is here, and that means it's Women’s History Month! It’s a wonderful time to recognize all the incredible women who have played a major role in shaping Alberta’s story.

Throughout history, Alberta has been enriched by women breaking barriers and turning their passions into actions that benefit us all. Think of the Famous Five, who helped women secure legal recognition as 'persons' in Canada, or Rosella Marie Bjornson, the first woman in Canada to pilot a commercial jet!

This month is all about honoring those who have paved the way and acknowledging the trailblazers of today. These amazing women are mentors, leaders, and champions of compassion, driving economic growth and uplifting others in their communities.
