Great news for everyone interested in human rights in Alberta! As of July 21, 2025, Zabeda Yaqoob, K.C. will take on the important role of Chief of the Alberta Human Rights Commission. This position not only highlights her commitment to justice but also ensures that the commission has strong leadership moving forward.
Zabeda will serve a term until July 20, 2031. Her experience and vision will be pivotal in addressing human rights issues in the province.
